Caring For Rabbits And Guinea Pigs
Reading time: 5 min read

Habitat checks, feeding routines and enrichment essentials for your smallest family members.
Space and shelter come first
Rabbits and guinea pigs need room to move and a safe place to hide. A solid wooden hideout gives them the retreat their instincts demand, and it should always sit within a larger, secure living space.
Check habitats daily: fresh bedding, dry corners, clean water and no chewed hazards.
Hay, chew, repeat
Unlimited hay is the foundation of small pet health — for digestion and for constantly growing teeth. Natural willow chews are a wonderful addition, keeping teeth worn and minds busy.
Introduce any new food gradually, and keep treats small and occasional.
Gentle handling, daily
Short, calm handling sessions build trust. Sit at their level, let them come to you, and keep a soft brush handy — grooming is bonding for small pets just as it is for cats.
